I can imagine that your saying yes to perform the handfasting for them, after everyone else turned them away, meant more than they could probably convey. I'm moving to a tiny apartment this summer, and that is giving me the opportunity to offer a lot of my belongings to others through yard sales, donations, and giveaways. At first, I was dismayed by how easy it was to let go of things: it drew my attention to the many things I kept just because I had a place to put them, and required me to clarify my values around owning stuff. But as I've moved into letting go of objects I love but still won't keep, I've found the sweetness in passing on something beloved and trusting that my needs will still be amply filled.Sarah Twichellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00320132499523109671noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2598954271243877988.post-34676115026273670912012-05-18T11:45:53.354-04:002012-05-18T11:45:53.354-04:00Thank you for this offering, Katie. In some cases the Rites of Spring group met people from these other places and wonderful synergy ensued. We let the land show us the paths of power and incorporated all the beings we were able to find in that place; spiders, rocks, trees, dead leaves and living roots. The interplay of light between the sun and moon changed the energy from moment to moment.
