I'm moving to a tiny apartment this summer, and that is giving me the opportunity to offer a lot of my belongings to others through yard sales, donations, and giveaways. At first, I was dismayed by how easy it was to let go of things: it drew my attention to the many things I kept just because I had a place to put them, and required me to clarify my values around owning stuff.
